What we collect from you, why, and how long we keep it. This page covers traxseon.com and the Traxseon account you can create.

The form on this website

If you fill in the form on traxseon.com, it sends us your name, your company and your email address — the three we ask for — and, if you fill them in, your role, the typical size of your bill of materials, how many new products you introduce in a year, and whatever you write in the notes box.

Stored alongside it are your browser’s user-agent string and the origin the submission came from — the address of the site the form sits on, https://traxseon.com, not an address of yours.

The submission is stored in a database hosted for us, and a copy is emailed to hello@traxseon.com through our email delivery provider, with your address as the reply-to so that answering you is one click. We use it to get back to you about working with Traxseon, and for nothing else.

This website itself

The site is static — files served as they are, with no application behind them. It sets no cookies, and it carries no advertising or tracking script.

It carries no analytics script either.

Our web server does keep ordinary request logs. A line in one records the time, what was requested, how the server answered, the IP address it came from, your browser’s user-agent string, and the page that linked you here.

Your Traxseon account

Anyone can sign up for a Traxseon account. This is what an account involves.

What we ask for

Your first and last name, your email address, your company and your industry, and your phone number if you choose to give it. Your email address is also your login; there is no separate username. Those details are held by our sign-in service, which we run ourselves, and in the Traxseon application’s own database.

Email and notifications

Sign-up and verification emails are sent through our email delivery provider, from an address on a traxseon.com domain. When a new account is created, and when you send us a message from inside the application, the Traxseon team is notified in our internal messaging. A message you send us from inside the application is also emailed to hello@traxseon.com.

Cookies, and being signed in

While you are signed in, the application sets one session cookie. It identifies your session and holds nothing else; the record behind it sits on our server. Sessions expire after seven days, and expired session records are deleted.

Signing in sets a second, short-lived cookie that carries only what is needed to finish that single sign-in attempt, and our sign-in service sets cookies of its own, on its own address, to keep you signed in to it. None of these is used for tracking or advertising.

What you search for

The application records each part number it answers for your account. That record is how a trial account’s part searches are counted against its allowance. Anything you write to us through the application’s contact form is stored with it.

Who else handles it

• To answer a part search we send the part number, with the quantity, currency and country of the search, to the component distributors and market-data services we source pricing and availability from.
• Qualification and approved-parts checks are answered from publicly available government qualification registers, and carry a government part number, a stock number, a manufacturer code or a vendor name.
• Where an answer is produced by an AI model rather than read from a catalogue, the part number and its manufacturer go to the model provider we use.
• The agent conversation is the widest of these paths. Each turn sends the model provider what you write and the context on screen beside it, so that it can answer about what you are looking at: part numbers and quantities from your board; the name and column headings of an open bill of materials, and which of its lines are not sourced yet; the titles and part numbers of your saved records; and your quote requests, including which vendor each one went to. Attach a bill of materials to the conversation, or ask the agent to read the open file, and its contents go with it.
• The model provider keeps what reaches it for a limited period, for abuse monitoring, under its own policy. Where an answer draws on a web search, a part number — and often a manufacturer or seller name — reaches the search service behind it.
• Two requests are made by your own browser, not by us. Part photographs load straight from manufacturer and distributor sites, which puts your IP address in front of them, and the image address usually contains the part number. And once a day your browser fetches exchange rates from a public rates service, which carries no part data at all — only your IP address and the fact that the application is in use.

None of this is sold or shared for advertising. The providers above process it on our instructions, to give you the answer you asked for; a current list of them is available on request.

How long we keep it

• Sign-in sessions: seven days.
• The part numbers searched for your account, and the messages you send us through the application: kept until the lead is closed or erasure is requested.
• Your account and its profile: kept while the account exists, or until you ask us to erase it.
• A submission from the form on this website: kept until you ask us to erase it. Nothing deletes it on a schedule.

Asking for a copy, or asking us to delete

Write to hello@traxseon.com. We will tell you what we hold, and if you ask us to erase it we remove it from the places named above: the form submission from its database, your account and its profile from our sign-in service, and your profile, your searched-part records and your messages from the application’s database.

Two limits worth stating plainly. Deleting removes the records from our live systems; copies can remain for a while in our routine backups until those rotate out, and in our servers’ request and error logs. And what has already left — the notification email sitting in the hello@traxseon.com mailbox, the note in our internal messaging, a part number already passed to a data provider — sits there under the rules of the place it went, not ours.

Where this runs

traxseon.com, the Traxseon application, its database and our sign-in service run on infrastructure we operate. The exception is the form on this website: those submissions are held for us by a hosted database provider.
